Hosted by The Alliance and presented by Alicia Davis of TLS.
In your work life, are you in increased situations where colleagues or clients are rude, argumentative or hostile toward you? Do you find yourself not knowing how to handle these situations when they arise? Do you feel shaken and upset afterwards?
Being able to maintain your composure when handling aggressive/hostile people and situations is a critical skill to learn to support your long-term mental and emotional wellbeing. In this session, participants will explore the foundational role their nervous system plays in how their mind/body automatically reacts during these challenging situations and learn how to better manage these reactions.
Participants will also practice simple, yet powerful, de-escalation skills to use in situations of conflict and aggression. Skills utilized will include centering, grounding and calming techniques based in mindfulness and emotional intelligence principles.
No matter your job title, join us to learn how to stay calmer, more centered and handle these types of situations effectively and with more ease.
